On March 13th 2005 I received an email from a gentleman in Fort Lauderdale who had a reasonable priced Schucker for sale. I have liked the Schuckers and have wanted one since I saw my first Schucker in 1991 across from the fuel dock at Taylor's Landing Marina where we lived on the Egg Harbor Inne. When I first saw that Schucker I said that would be the perfect boat for Dee and me. Part power boat with the space for all our creature comforts and part sailboat for the economy and silence that is to be enjoyed when the iron genny is turned off and the wind fills the sails and sweeps us across the water in silence. Ahh but I ramble. Suffice it to say I jumped on a plane and took a trip to Fort Lauderdale where I first saw the boat I would name "Marguerite". |
